Fall for the Book
Fall for the Book is a week-long, multi-event literary festival held in venues throughout Northern Virginia, Washington D.C., and Maryland each fall. The winner of Gazing Grain's annual poetry chapbook contest receives, as part of the prize package, an invitation to read at Fall for the Book at a special reception and book launch. The winner receives free accommodation and travel within the continental United States. Designated runners-up are also invited to receive special recognition at the Fall for the Book event.
New Leaves
New Leaves is a week-long literary conference held at George Mason University's Fairfax campus each spring. The winner of Gazing Grain's annual prose chapbook contest receives, as part of the prize package, an invitation to read at New Leaves. The winner receives free accommodation and travel within the continental United States. Designated runners-up are also invited to receive special recognition at New Leaves.
