Fall for the Book 2017

Fall for the Book festival starts today! Here are some event highlights from us here at Gazing Grain Press. These highlighted events are all on George Mason University's Fairfax campus. See the full schedule for more events all over the region!
This year's Call and Response exhibit , a collaboration between pairs of artists and writers themed on "invisibility" and human trafficking, will be up in Fenwick Gallery until November 27. This year's show is curated by Stephanie Grimm, Jennifer Lillis, and GGP editor M. Mack.
The Call and Response panel discussion and gallery talk with the artists and writers is happening today, October 11, from 3:oo to 4:15 pm. Fenwick Reading Room (2001), Fenwick Library
James Allen Hall will talk queerness and family at 3:00 pm today. Johnson Center, Meeting Room F
Colson Whitehead is headlining this year's festival, with a reading tonight at 7:30 pm. Harris Theater
Tarfia Faizullah will also read tonight at 7:30 pm. Faizullah will read from her new poetry collection Seam, about the female survivors of the Bangladesh Liberation War. George's (Johnson Center, 3rd floor)
Janet Mock will be speaking on Thursday afternooon at 2:00 pm. Harris Theater
GGP editor Sarah Marcus will be reading from her new collection They Were Bears at the Mason Poetry Alumni reading on Friday afternoon at 4:00 pm. Fenwick Reading Room (2001), Fenwick Library
